As most of our social media followers and loyal customers are aware, we have recently published our new Perry Estate Agents company video, which features spectacular drone footage of Malta as well as some of the finest properties from our leading real estate portfolio. As Operations Manager at Perry, I was on hand to help orchestrate the filming with the videographers, and I can truly say it was a very memorable experience! Furthermore, we are all delighted with the final two-minute short film, that without doubt, captures the spirit of our company as well as the majestic sites that Malta has to offer.
Filming started fairly early in the day and began at our head office on Tower Road with the aim of showcasing our new facade and Letting department whilst also getting some footage of our staff members and other internal scenes. Once complete, we then continued outside to shoot the ever popular Sliema promenade with its breath-taking seafront surroundings, before making our way onto some magnificent properties from both our sales and letting portfolios.
Watching these videographers at work was a real treat, and the way they so easily controlled their high tech drone made it all the more interesting and entertaining to be part of, mainly owing to the fact that it was admittedly the first time I was witnessing this gadget in action at such close range.
Our first property location was a magnificent new seafront development in Sliema, proudly exclusive to Perry Estate Agents, and featuring one of the fourteen luxury furnished three bedroom rental apartments (ref: FA600583 ) with spectacular sea views towards Manoel Island and beyond to Valletta. Next stop, and racing against the clock, we headed to Mellieha to film a beautiful Detached Villa (Ref: DV100019) from our rental and sales portfolio, that has panoramic sea views, as well as being furnished to the highest standard throughout. Another property location was set in the traditional village of Lija, to film a truly awe-inspiring, converted Palazzo, (Ref: HC600088), with a garden reminiscent of the classic novel ‘Great Expectations’, which both videographers, as well as myself, were completely taken by. This incredible property has been meticulously restored by its owners and is of huge historical importance to Malta, so we felt it was the perfect place to feature within our company video, especially given the popularity of traditional Maltese Houses of Character. After finishing in Lija, we headed off to Portomaso and Tigne Point, which are two of Malta’s most iconic and prominent residential addresses. The aim here was to present the impressive lifestyle that these modern developments offer, highlighted by the breathtaking marina at Portomaso as well as the unique ‘residents only’ swimming pool facilities at Tigne Point with its panoramic views of Valletta and beyond the open sea.
Once the property filming was complete, our team made their way all over the island to capture the dramatic Maltese scenery. On the list to film were many spectacular locations including the Grand Harbour with the historical Three Cities, our majestic capital city of Valletta (soon to be European City of Culture in 2018), as well as Ta’Xbiex, Manoel Island and then onto the beautiful landscapes of Dingli Cliffs, the popular sandy beach of Ghajn Tuffieha and the wooded area of Buskett with Verdala Palace. The resulting footage is breathtaking (even if we say so ourselves!) and we take our hats off to the videographers who did such a great job, often in extreme summer temperatures! From a personal point of view, it is certainly an experience I will never forget and one that I would repeat in a heartbeat!
